A Prayer Answered

Not too long after I got married I ran into a small financial trouble. We moved to a house that used to be homes for officials of the Air Force. The base (Ramey Air Force Base in Aguadilla Puerto Rico) was closed and the houses were being rented. We had almost everything needed except a washing machine. However, the rent of a particular Month was coming due and we didn't have the whole amount to cover the rent. We didn't know what to do. I was  the only one working so we decided to do the only thing we knew to do, pray. We held hands, got on our knees  and prayed.

Later that afternoon almost in the evening a knock at the door. We went to find out who was there and to our surprise there was our pastor who drove about 40 minutes from Mayaguez to come and visit us. We invited him in and he intermediately said that the Lord told him to come and bring to us something which he handed to us. There was money to pay the rent and some extra to buy a washing machine. The Pastor was not used to pay home visits to his congregation just like that. This was one of the many small miracles (big for us) that God did over our first couple of years as we were growing up in faith.
